I wanted to share some fun news with you. I confess that I may have already “spilled the beans” a bit on Facebook, but I wanted to share it here tool. I am hard at work on a new cookbook, which I am super excited about. Can you guess the subject (although the picture above probably gives it away)? It’s a vegan pizza book! So, you can expect a fair amount of pizza photos coming this way.
I’ve also got another cookbook review and giveaway coming soon. So definitely check back, because this is another great one!
Now, what’s everyone else up to these days?

Oh man, I’m excited! I love your “Vegan Diner” book. Between your new book, Tami’s grilling book, and Tami & Celine’s sandwich book, I think 2012 will be a good year in my kitchen.
Julie Hasson February 1, 2012 at 7:52 pm
Thanks Christine! Actually this book won’t be coming out until Fall of 2013, so you’ll have plenty of time to collect other cookbooks in the meantime; ) I can’t wait for Celine & Tami’s books either!

Hi Julie,
was wondering if you ever thought of having your videos air on Krazy Good Food TV @ krazygoodfoodtv.com?
A good friend just signed a contract for a new program starting next month. She will be able to have the videos air on her website and theirs. Just a thought.
Anyway, we think you are THE BOMB!!!

First let me say that I love your food!! I was visiting Portland and fell in love with your cart. I went twice before heading back home. I bought your cookbook and I’m super excited for the pizza cookbook! Is there a cookbook or a recipe I can get somewhere on how to make your broadway bowl? I have no idea when I’ll be back in Portland and I’m already craving it!!!
Julie Hasson April 6, 2012 at 12:58 pm
Thanks Mae! We don’t have the recipe out yet, but I can steer you towards a very close recipe. On our Everyday Dish website (www.everydaydish.tv), we have a recipe for spicy peanut noodles (which is one of my favorite recipes, BTW). Anyway, I based the Broadway sauce off of that peanut sauce, and it’s very close. Actually the Broadway Bowl was inspired by that recipe. Let me know what you think!

OMG!!!! I want to play toooooo……….come on….pleeeeze. I would be honored to be a tester (esp. a taste tester) too!!! Huh? Can I? I’ll be very, very good….and I’ll clean my room everyday!!
Julie Hasson April 6, 2012 at 12:59 pm
Thanks Connie! You’re so funny! I’m not quite ready, but will probably put the word out soon. Have you been a recipe tester before? As far as taste-testing goes, you’ll have to fight with my kids and husband for that job; )
Bethany May 18, 2012 at 3:09 pm
Yay! a new cookbook.
I LOVE Vegan Diner, especially the crockpot loaf, cheesecake, well everything. I was just down in PDX and I ate at your cart. Fingers crossed that the cookbook has a pizza w/ the Alberta bowl’s spicy sauce because it was amazing.
Let me know if you need another recipe tester because my husband and I bake and cook all the time. When I make yeast dough these days I use my stand mixer to do the kneading.
