A So Delicious Nog

October 28, 2011 By Julie Hasson

Wow, are you guys in for a treat! I was recently asked if I would try the new holiday nogs from the great folks at Turtle Mountain and So Delicious, and am I happy I did! I adore nog, and wait patiently every year for the nogs to hit the shelves. It was no different when I was young, anxiously counting down the months until my mom would come home with a big carton of that thick, rich nutmeg flavored goodness. Pretty funny for a Jewish girl. Fortunately this love of all things nog didn’t skip a generation, because my kids love it too. Of course, we’ve transitioned from the dairy variety to soy and now to coconut!

So Delicious does not disappoint with their new line of coconut beverages, which are just as creamy and delicious as you’d expect. Plus, it comes in two flavors, traditional nog and chocolate mint. It was love at first sip!

Did I mention that they also offer recipes on the side of the carton? They do, and I am dying to try my hand at the French Toast. That is, if I have any left after making up a batch of homemade pudding with it. Can’t you just imagine how good tapioca or rice pudding would be? Or pancakes. Or maybe even ice cream. Oh, and it’s great in coffee too. I stirred some of the nog into my coffee this morning, and it was delicious!

So keep your eyes open for these delicious new coconut beverages from So Delicious. You’ll be glad you did. Now, if I could only convince them to make this year-round; )

I doubt these are available in Canada — or if they not, not where I live as far as I’m aware — and this makes me a very sad vegan. They look so delicious (heh) too, and I really loved eggnog in my pre-vegan days so I’d love to try these out if I could. Then again, this is also the perfect excuse (as if one is necessary!) to try Isa’s nog recipe…

I too always looked fwd to the soy nog hitting the shelves (dont even try the rice one, I have & it’s awful) but would add additional nutmeg cuz it was good, but I felt could be richer & more seasoned. I tasted SD’s nog at The Natural Product Expo & couldnt get enuf! It truly is thick & rich with lots of nutmeg/cloves/cinnamon/whatever! Finally, a nog that truly mimics cow nog, sans the cholesterol & cruelty. 🙂

Seriously adore vegan eggnog but man the stuff is high in calories and I have NO control over it! Really happy that there are SO many alternatives now!!!! Coconut, soy, rice, YEAH!

Oh my! I cannot wait to try this nog. I’ve (gasp!) never had nog before – not even during my pre-vegan days.

I just tried both varieties last week and I’m hooked! I absolutely love them both and it’s going to be hard parting with them after the holidays. I hope they come out with more flavors, like Strawberry, and Banana, and Chai coconut milk. I truly love all products by So Delicious, including the Cultured Coconut Milk, and French Vanilla Creamer.

Some of such wall brackets may also double as a recharger, so there isn’t
any need to have wires running loose around the kitchen.
When using this blender, simply combine your ingredients in a pot,
container, or bowl, insert the blender, and transform
on. Some of those blenders have separate containers, while other variants do not.

As parents, we’d like the best for our kids, and also this includes the watches they wear.
