Homemade Gluten-Free + Vegan Snack Mix | Julie's Kitchenette

Cheezy Rosemary Garlic Snack Mix

  • Author: Julie Hasson
  • Yield: About 6 cups 1x

Description

This is an easy to make snack mix, that you will find yourself making on the regular. I now keep GF cereal and GF pretzels in my pantry for whenever the mood strikes.

Ingredients

Scale

1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
3/4 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt (or your favorite brand )
1 teaspoon granulated onion
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 cup vegan butter
1 tablespoon GF soy sauce
fresh cracked pepper, optional
4 cups GF cereal such as Rice Chex, or popcorn or cereal of choice
2 cups gluten-free pretzels

Instructions

In a small bowl, mix together the nutritional yeast flakes, rosemary, seasoned salt, granulated onion, and granulated garlic. Set aside.

In a large skillet (preferably non stick), melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the soy sauce and use a heat proof spatula or wooden spoon to give it a quick mix. Add the cereal and pretzels to the skillet, and toss to coat them well with the butter mixture. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast mixture over the cereal, tossing well. Reduce heat to low and cook for several minutes to toast the cereal. Remove to a large bowl, add sprinkle with pepper if using. Let mixture cool and serve. It will continue to crisp up as it cools.
